On trouve sur le site de l'Enclos des Fusillés 415 croix commémoratives ou tombes corps présents. Rangs A à F et K-L: 98 corps présents, mais il faut y ajouter 5 croix devenues commémoratives (Quatre Français rapatriés le 21 septembre 1949 et un Hollandais rapatrié le 17 septembre 1957 (Total de ces rangs : 103). Rangs G à J: 312 croix commémoratives, corps absents. Une 416ème croix, dans le prolongement du rang J est la tombe de l'aumônier VONCKEN. Détails: Fusillés à la Citadelle: 271 + 1 pendu au Charnier. Abattus au Charnier: 23. Tués au combat: 20. Abattus ailleurs: 51. Décédés à l'Hôpital militaire Saint-Laurent: 21. Décédé à l'hôpital de Bavière: 1. Décédés à la Prison Saint-Léonard: 5. Décédés en cellule au B24: 3. Fusillés à Bosveld-Hechtel: 5. Fusillés à la Citadelle de Huy: 5, plus 1 pendu en cellule, soit 6. Fusillés à Virton: 8 (Source: M. Armand COLLIN de Hody).

15th General Hospital

15th General Hospital
15th General Hospital, at Liège, Belgium. A Nurse of the 15th General Hospital is checking the blood pressure of one of her patients. In order to provide more beds for the First US Army, the Hospital opened in Liège on 21 Sep 44, occupying a former Belgian Military Hospital. It was later joined by the 28th General Hospital which went into operation in the city early October.The staff of the 15th Gen Hosp held regular meetings with the medical faculty of the local University, to discuss latest developments in the medical field and help them further on with their medical-related activities
